Final GDD

The Main Character,
Yoink

This is the final blog for my Game Design Document.

I have updated my Dundoc and I hope that you find it interesting. It's the bible for my game so please don't treat it like the actual bible and completely misinterpret it.

  1. Hey Darragh, great post, your Dundoc is really clear and detailed and your game sounds really interesting and original. I like the way it's being played from the villains point of view instead of the hero's it's quite unique as I definitely can't think of that many games that are similar. Was wondering what you mean when you said about the feeling of the game was free and how will it feel free from a players point of view? I really love the splash screen idea as well, it fits really nicely with the name and story of your game. Can't wait to see your game when it's finished!

  3. Hey Darragh,
I'm liking your game so far, it sounds pretty fun to me. I like the detail in your dundoc meaning there's not too many paragraphs and more visuals. I like the fact you have your character being the bad guy which is different than any other game. I'm very excited to see the outcome of thus game and hopefully have a go!!!! Good luck dude !!!!!

  4. Hi Darragh!
Like the idea for your game and it sounds fun. Playing as the bad guy is cool and I don't think many other student's games have you play as the bad guy so yours will stand out. As their will be various enemies, will each of them have their own abilities? The splash screen idea is really good. Good blog and I look forward to seeing your final game.

  5. hi Darragh, have to say I really like your concept on this, it's not often you get to play the villain in any video game so it definably sparks my interest, I like the idea of keeping it sort of like Mario but with a cool weapon instead of fireballs, kind of reminds me of streets of rage, I could see this being a really popular game, just maybe you could add in some extra weapons like giving him fire blasts like something out of DBZ or maybe he can fly for short periods of time or something like that, and you could maybe make it have an up and down element to it like streets of rage so you could move out of the way of things etc, either way I love the game concept and I can't wait to see the game when it's finished, keep up the good work :)
